Description
The boundary wall and gate piers to Perrymead Place date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar or dressed stone. The structure features a pair of heavy square piers, each made from a single block of stone, standing on slight bases. These piers have a double frieze-band and a heavy dentilled coping topped with a shallow pyramidal crown. Each pier measures approximately 600 millimeters square and stands about 3 meters high, spaced 3 meters apart, but there are no gates. To the right, a low wall with flat coping returns to a projecting wing leading to Hill Crest, while to the left, a higher wall continues across the full width of the site.
