Description

The wall and gate pier attached to the south-west wall of Heath House is likely from around 1745, making it contemporary with the house itself. The structure features an ashlar pier and a dressed stone wall that has an inner brick lining in random bond. The wall is taller near the house and gradually steps down, ending with a curved ramped ashlar coping. It terminates in a square pier that has a projecting band and a casement-moulded cornice, which may have originally been topped with an urn finial.
