Description

The ha-ha in front of Heath House dates from the mid-18th century and features 19th-century gate piers, gates, and railings. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and ashlar, with cast-iron elements. The structure includes a low hammer-dressed stone retaining wall topped with projecting coping. Near the gate piers on each side, there is a short section of surviving rod railings. The gate piers are square in shape and taper towards the top, finishing in a finial. The double gates are designed with simple rods that have arrow-headed finials.
