Description
Nos. 6 and 6A Foregate Street is a terraced house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. The exterior features painted stucco over brick and a plain clay tile roof that is partially hidden behind a parapet. There is a tall rendered stack with oversailing detail and pots on the left rear roof slope.
The building has a double-depth plan with a central stairwell and stands three storeys high, featuring three first-floor windows. The stucco detailing includes a cornice and sills, which are lined to mimic ashlar stone. The windows are 1/1 sashes throughout. Additionally, cornice and console brackets from an earlier 19th-century shopfront remain. The interior has not been inspected.
