Description
This cow house, located about 10 metres west of Upper Battenhall Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and has late 19th-century alterations. It features a timber frame with brick infill set on a stone plinth and has a hipped tile roof at the north end. The building consists of three framed bays that are aligned north to south and stands two storeys tall. There are two loft doors on the first floor and two small fixed casement windows on the ground floor, along with two entries. The framing includes straight angle braces and four square panels, although only one panel at the top of the wall remains intact. This structure is included for its group value.
