3/89 Cow house approx. - 15 metres to north- east of Hall Farmhouse

GV II

Granary, now cow house. C17 with C18 alterations. Timber framed with red brick nogging, partly rebuilt in C18 uncoursed red sandstone rubble; corrugated iron roof. 2 framed bays. Framing: square panels with short straight corner braces. Gable end to north has exposed collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts, boarded loft door, and boarded stable-type door to left. The cow house forms part of a small village-centre farmstead group including Hall Farmstead (q.v.) and a barn (q.v.). Included for group value.
