Description
This building is a cow house located approximately 15 metres to the north-east of Hall Farmhouse. It dates from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The structure is timber framed with red brick nogging and has been partly rebuilt in the 18th century using uncoursed red sandstone rubble. It features a corrugated iron roof and consists of two framed bays. The framing includes square panels with short straight corner braces. The gable end facing north has an exposed collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts, a boarded loft door, and a boarded stable-type door to the left. This cow house is part of a small farmstead group in the village centre, which includes Hall Farmstead and a barn, and is included for its group value.
