Description

Farmhouse. It likely dates from the 17th century, with alterations in the 18th century. The farmhouse is timber-framed and now clad in brick, with brick extensions and a tile roof. It has an irregular plan, running east to west, with a parallel range of buildings and an incorporated range set at a right angle towards the east end. The north front features a gabled wing projecting to the left, with a gable lit attic and a single range of windows. There is a lean-to on the ground floor. To the right is a two-storey range with two windows. There is a three-light casement window, and a staircase window at an intermediate level. On the ground floor are two windows with segmental heads, a three-light casement, and an original opening which has been blocked and is partly obscured by a 19th-century lean-to. A smaller opening contains a two-light casement. The entrance is roughly central, with a six-panelled door, the upper two panels glazed, and a segmental head.
