Description

MADRESFIELD CP - SO 84 NW 6/68 Gates and gateway approximately 5 metres north-west of Home Farmhouse GV II

Gates and gateway. Said to be C17, re-set in present position late C19. Wrought iron and brick. C19 brick gateway has round arch and stone coping. The gates have alternate twisted verticals, and a band of scrolled decoration. The overthrow has a central star-shaped finial. Said to be from the north porch of Worcester Cathedral.
