Description
Stable Cottage is a house that was originally built as a stable in the 17th century. It was later enlarged and covered in brick in the late 18th century. The structure features timber-framing and painted brick with a tile roof. The right-hand end of the cottage is lower and framed in three rows of square panels, with a first-floor window to the left and a ground-floor window to the right, along with a doorway on the right side. The left-hand part is taller and made of brick. To the right of the gabled porch, there is a window on each floor with a segmental head. On the left side, there is a ground-floor window and a gabled dormer. The cottage has no chimneys, and the truss exposed in the right-hand gable wall has two vertical struts between the tie-beam and collar.
