Description
This dovecot, located approximately 75 metres north of Pigeonhouse Farmhouse, likely dates from the 17th century. It is constructed with timber framing and brick infill, and it currently has no roof. The building has a square plan, with each wall featuring two curved tension braces and a middle rail. Some of the brick infill is missing, and the presence of wattle grooves indicates that this infill may not be original. There is a doorway in the south wall, and the roof structure above the wall-plate level was missing at the time of the survey in August 1986.
