Description

This dovecot, located about 50 metres west of Rectory Farmhouse, likely dates from the mid-15th century and has undergone later alterations. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with limestone quoins and features raised coped verges, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The structure has a square plan and includes a front door opening with a segmental head, a loading door situated under the eaves, and a 2-light window opening at the ground floor rear. Inside, there are pigeon holes. At the time of the survey in January 1985, the dovecot was noted to be in poor condition.
