Farmhouse, now house. Probably late C16, with late C19 alterations and additions. Timber-framed with part painted brick and part rendered wattle- and-daub infill, brick replacement walling, tiled roofs, sandstone ashlar chimney with 4 diagonal brick shafts. Two-bay main range, having baffle entry and 2-bay cross-wing at west gable end. Mainly large square panels, 5 from sill to wall-plate, close-set vertical studs above doorway. Two storeys and attic. Front elevation Main range has 2 ground and 2 first floor casements, regularly spaced, and central planked doorway; cross-wing has C20 metal garage doors and a first floor casement. Interior: Roof has queen strut trusses with an intermediate raking strut truss to cross-wing; single, trenched purlins. Back-to-back fireplaces in 2 ground floor rooms of main range; fireplace on west side formerly included a bread oven. First floor room to west of main range has moulded plasterwork at ceiling edges and main beams have parallel mouldings stopped by tongue. Late C19 outshut to rear.
