Description

WELLS ROAD 1. 5245 (West Side) War Memorial SO 7742 10/82 4.6.73. II 2. 1919, architect C F A Voysey. A free standing column of Portland stone. The base, shaft and capital are octagonal and have concave sides. Capital has leaf carving and is surmounted by a carving of a pelican feeding its young. Pavement and steps of slate.
