Description

The War Memorial on Cawdor Street in Nairn was built around 1922 and designed by Marshall Mackenzie and Son. It features a fluted Ionic column that stands on a curved hexagonal plinth. Below the capital of the column, there is a laurel wreath. The memorial is enclosed by a low coped wall that surrounds the corner site, which has square ashlar end piers topped with cornices and acorn finials.
