Description

1 and 2, The Cross are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century that have been altered. Number 2 features exposed timber framing, while Number 1 is brick-cased with roughcast at the south end. Both cottages appear to be part of the same timber-framed range. They are one and a half storeys tall and have a modern plain tile roof with one modern dormer on each. Number 2 has two small first-floor windows and modern ground floor windows. Number 1 has a door located beneath the dormer in the painted brick section. The end section has a jettied upper floor with an altered gable, two modern ground floor windows, and one window above.
