Farmhouse. C17, with mid-C19 alterations and additions. Timber-framed, with painted brick infill and brick replacement walling and refacing; hipped tiled roofs, brick ridge stack and also brick stacks to side eleva- tions. Hall and cross-wing type plan with chimney inserted in former cross- passage, long hall range on a west/east axis with cross-wing at west gable end; hall range with a lobby entry plan. Two storeys and attic with dentilled eaves cornice to hall range. Framing exposed in cross-wing, 4 square panels from sill to wall-plate, long straight lower corner braces. Irregular fenestration. Front elevation to south: hall range has 3 ground and 2 first floor large mid-C19 casements, the ground floor ones have cambered heads and the left one is blocked. Door with cambered head positioned beneath ridge stack and having 6 raised and fielded panels and flat canopy above on carved brackets. Cross-wing gable end has plank weatherings between storeys, a ground floor cross casement and a first floor 16-pane sash. Interior not inspected. Single storey extension to right side elevation possibly former bake house.
