Description

Voyce House is a farmhouse, now a house, that likely dates from the 17th century and has been altered in the early 18th century and mid-20th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill, which has been refaced with brick. There is a brick external chimney on the left side elevation and at the rear, with paired brick stacks that have oversailing cap courses. The building has a hall and crosswing type plan, each consisting of two bays, with the hall range oriented on an east/west axis and the cross-wing located at the east gable end.

The house is two storeys tall with an attic, showcasing a cogged string course between the storeys and a cogged eaves course. The front elevation, facing north, displays irregular fenestration with three ground floor and two first floor windows in the hall range, along with a central timber door. The cross-wing gable end has one window on each floor, and there is an attic light in the west gable end.

A smaller two-storey wing is attached to the west gable end, consisting of two framed bays with irregularly sized rectangular panels. This wing features two long straight braces in the lower corners and a gable end queen strut truss. The north elevation has two ground floor and two first floor casements, along with a multi-paned door to the left. There is also a 20th-century lean-to extension at the rear of the hall range. The interior has not been inspected.
