Description
No 45 on Old Street is an early to mid 18th century red brick house, believed to have been built in 1734. The house has three storeys and features a ripped slate roof and a brick eaves cornice. It has a three-window range of sliding sash windows, with glazing bars present only on the upper floor. The windows have gauged brick flat arched heads and brick keystones that support cornices, but these cornices are only found above the ground floor windows. There is a brick plinth and a blocked basement light. The front door has been altered and includes a fanlight above it, supported by a hood on slim brackets. The brickwork shows evidence of a rebuilt or added top floor.
