Description
Keepers Cottage is a 17th-century house that was restored in the late 20th century. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill, a brick plinth, and some sandstone rubble and brick walling, topped with a plain tiled roof. The cottage has three framed bays that are aligned east to west and includes an external brick chimney with offsets at the gable ends. The building is two storeys high, with the framing consisting of three panels from the sill to the wall-plate and long straight braces in some of the lower corners, though no trusses are visible. On the south front elevation, there are two-light casement windows, with four windows on each floor, and two ledged and battened doors. The interior has not been inspected. At the rear, there is a large two-storey wing from the 20th century that serves as the main entrance.
