Description
This building is a barn and two adjoining ranges located about 40 metres northwest of Hope Farmhouse in Clifton upon Teme. It likely dates from the first half of the 18th century and features a timber frame with weatherboarding set on a rubble plinth, topped with a plain tile roof. The barn consists of three structural bays and has central opposed waggon entries. The frame is constructed with three square panels high to the wall-plate, and the weatherboarding covers open woven panels. Inside, there are queen strut roof trusses, and the jowls on the main posts have been sawn off at the bottoms. The lower timber-framed ranges on the left and right are also part of the structure, with the left range being derelict at the time of the survey.
