TL 71 SE TERLING SPARROWS FARM ROAD (north side)

Barn, now a store, C17, and stable range, C18. Timber framed, weatherboarded, barn roof thatched, stable range roofed with old grey slate. Barn, 4 bays aligned approx. NW-SE with midstrey to SW. Stable range extends SW from NW end of barn. Lean-to extension on other side of midstrey, roofed with red clay 'Roman' tiles. Roof of barn and midstrey fully hipped. The barn has jowled posts, arched braces to tiebeams replaced by bolted knees, clasped purlin roof. Walls fully lined with insulation material and softwood boards for use as a heated store. The stable range has 3 halved doors and double garage doors facing SE, low-pitched roof of heavy hand-cut slate (with minor repairs to NW pitch in thin machine-cut slate), cambered tiebeams with bolted knees and clasped purlin roof; complete with wooden troughs and wooden hayracks in 3 loose-boxes.
