Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 4 bays facing NE (the earlier structure forming the left bay) with axial stack in second bay from left, forming a lobby-entrance. On the first floor, blocked hearth with depressed arch. Part of the earlier structure is exposed in the rear of the left bay, comprising a massive corner post with recessed inner angle, originally higher than the present eaves level; heavy studding with wattle grooves and 2 curved braces trenched to the outside, weathered although now inside the house; a top plate with edge-halved and bridled scarf; other parts probably present within the plaster.
