Description
Lawns Farmhouse is a timber-framed and plastered house made up of two blocks that are at right angles to each other. The southern block dates from the 16th century, while the western block is from the 17th century. The house has two storeys, and the upper storey of the west block jetties out over the south front. The windows in this block are casements, while the south block features 18th or early 19th century double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. There is a gabled porch with an original window above it. The roofs are tiled, and the south block has an original diagonally shafted central chimney stack. The west block has a half-hipped roof with a small gablet at its west end.
