Description

The Triton Fountain, located approximately 80 meters east of the east front of Witley Court, was created around 1860 by James Forsyth for Lord Ward, the first Earl of Dudley. This fountain features a circular base made of stone, adorned with four tritons depicted in the act of blowing, although the shells are missing. It has a decoratively moulded and capped central circular shell motif, along with a further base supporting a fragmentary figure. The upper bowl is scalloped and sits within a cable-edged basin, all of which is set in a circular rendered brick pool.
