Description
The Perseus and Andromeda Fountain, located approximately 100 metres south of the portico to Witley Court, is a Grade I listed structure dating from around 1860. Designed by James Forsyth for Lord Ward, the first Earl of Dudley, the fountain features stone statues of Perseus riding Pegasus as he rescues Andromeda from the Dragon. The base of the fountain is adorned with alternating grotesque fish and shells, and it is set within a shaped pool lined with rendered brick.
