Description
The White House is a house dating from the early 19th century, constructed of roughcast brick with a hipped slate roof featuring overhanging eaves. It has brick stacks located on the right side and at the rear.
The building stands three storeys high and has three bays. All windows have cambered heads, with the outer bays on the ground and first floors featuring 16-pane sash windows, while the second floor has eight-pane sashes. The central bay includes a semi-circular arched head and a slightly recessed doorway, which is flanked by engaged columns. The door is six-panelled, with four of the panels being glazed, and there is a barred segmental fanlight above it. The entrance is accessed by a flight of four sandstone steps.
Additionally, there is a main entrance on the right side that features a hipped lead canopy with swept eaves supported by timber posts, along with a partly glazed door that has a cambered head. To the rear right, there is a two-bay wing that is two levels high and has a dentilled eaves cornice.
