Description

This is a bakehouse located about 7 yards north of Hill Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a hipped, tiled roof with a large brick chimney on the north side. The building is single storey and has a small, square plan, with a dentilled eaves cornice. The south elevation includes a casement window and a planked door with a cambered head. Inside, there is a bake oven flanked by two cooking ranges and a large central chimney against the north wall. The bakehouse is included in the listing for its group value.
