Description
Inkford Farm is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with some alterations made in the mid- and late 19th century. The building features a timber frame that is clad in brick and has a machine-tile roof, designed in a T-plan layout. The north front includes a gabled cross-wing on the left side, which is two storeys high and has a weatherboarded gable. This section contains one window, which is a 2-light casement. To the right, the main range is also two storeys tall and features a dog tooth cornice, with two windows: one 3-light casement and one boxed glazing bar sash. The ground floor has a central entrance that is sheltered by a gabled tiled canopy, with a segmental head and a panelled door. The timber framing is exposed in the cross-wing, particularly showcasing the main corner posts.
