Description
This is a barn located about 10 metres south of Gay Hill Farmhouse, dating from the early 19th century but incorporating remnants from the 16th century. The structure features a timber frame that is clad in brick and topped with a tiled roof. It has an L-shaped plan with four bays to the south, including a threshing floor positioned south of the centre, and another range extending to the west. Notable exterior details include a dentilled brick cornice and hit-and-miss ventilators. Inside, the western range contains a 16th-century truss with arch-braces supporting the tie.
