Description
Holly Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century and late 20th century. It has a timber-frame structure with brick infill, rendered on the exterior, and a concrete tile roof. The building consists of three framed bays arranged in a north-south orientation, featuring a stack located between the two northern bays and at the southern gable.
The west front has two storeys, with a single-storey lean-to on the left that contains two 20th-century windows. On the right side, there are two three-light casements. The ground floor entrance is situated between two windows and features a half-glazed door. The framing was reportedly designed with two square panels high on the first floor before rendering. The exposed north gable truss includes two struts to the collar, V-struts in the apex, and a yoke.
Inside, the inglenooks feature 17th-century moulded mantel shelves, and there are exposed chamfered and stopped ceiling beams.
