Description

Walkers Heath Farmhouse, likely dating to the early 13th century based on its connection to William de Walker and the manor of King's Norton, comprises two sections. The northern section is two-storey, while the southern section is one-and-a-half storeys high. The farmhouse is part of a group with associated barns and outbuildings. The west end, probably built in the late 17th or early 18th century, is constructed of brick and features wood casement windows on both floors, with a band separating them. A gabled bracket hood shelters the doorway. A large brick chimney stack rises from the ridge of the roof, which has been retiled but retains an uneven ridge line, suggesting older roof construction. The walls are predominantly roughcast. The lower southern section has roughcast brick buttresses at the eaves and may incorporate timber framing from the 16th or 17th century.
