Description
Douglas Mills and Sulur is a butcher's shop and house built in the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a partly half-hipped machine-tiled roof with a ridge stack located at the right end and to the left of center. It stands two storeys tall with an attic, displaying two-course bands at the storey levels on both the front and rear, along with a dentilled eaves cornice.
The south front elevation consists of two plus one bays. All windows have moulded architraves, stone lintels, and sills, and they are 4-pane sashes. The two-bay section includes a ground floor and two first floor windows, a mid-20th century shop front with a hipped roof, tiled base, and plate glass window. To the right of this section is the main entrance to the house, which features an entablature and pilastered surround, along with a mid-20th century glazed door. The single-bay section has two ground floor windows and one first floor window. The interior has not been inspected. This building is adjacent to the right gable end of Belbroughton Workmen's Club.
