Description

The building at 13-23 Odd Lower Holyhead Road dates to 1819, as indicated by a plaque on numbers 15-17. It comprises a row of cottages with shops on the second floor, originally used for weaving and watch-making industries. Constructed of red brick with slate roofs, the building is three storeys high. Each cottage has one bay, featuring contemporary segment-headed casement windows. The shop windows on the second floor are larger and, because they sit directly beneath the wall plate, are not segment-headed. The building represents a very fine example of early industrial housing. This listing was subject to a minor amendment on 17 July 2019.
