Description

No. 72 Birmingham Road is a 18th-century building with a red brick front that conceals an earlier timber-framed structure. It features an old tiled roof with a corbelled cornice and stands two storeys tall. The first floor has a sill band and a stone plinth. There are four flush casement windows with glazing bars. The ground floor includes a central sash window with glazing bars beneath a stucco lintel, flanked by two canted bay windows. A doorhood supported by brackets is also present. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 72 to 76, front garden gates and railings to No. 74, and a barn to No. 76, alongside Nos. 1 and 3 Butcher's Lane.
