Description

Arden House is an 18th-century red brick house located on the north side of Birmingham Road in Allesley, set back from the road. It features a hipped roof covered with old tiles and a coved cornice. The building stands three storeys tall and includes floor bands and corner pilasters. On the first floor, there are three flush sash windows with glazing bars and keystones. The ground floor has a pair of canted wooden bay windows. The central entrance has a modern glazed door with an oblong fanlight, surrounded by a frieze and cornice. Arden House is part of a group that includes Nos 72 to 76 (even), the front garden gates and railings to No 74, and a barn to No 76, along with Nos 1 and 3 Butcher's Lane.
