Description

Lion House, also known as No 89, is an 18th-century building that was altered in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a tiled roof. The house has two storeys and attics, with chamfered quoins, a central narrow arched recess, and projecting end wings. The façade includes a 2:4:2 arrangement of sash windows with glazing bars, all set under flat arches with keystones. There are also four hipped casement dormers. The door surrounds date from the early to mid-19th century and are adorned with cornices on consoles. Lion House is part of a group with Nos 85 to 89 on Birmingham Road.
