Description
37 Frederick Road is a Grade II listed Italianate villa built between 1845 and 1850. This two-storey, three-bay building features a plinth and a first-floor sill course. The frieze has a bed mould with slender, closely set console brackets supporting dentilled boxed eaves. The hipped slate roof is adorned with corniced stucco chimneys.
On the first floor, there are plate glass sash windows set in eared architraves. The right-hand ground floor window is tripartite, with a blind balustrade below the sill and a dentil cornice on foliage consoles, topped with a segmental pediment over the center. To the left, there is a single sash window similar to those on the first floor. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels and a semi-circular fanlight, recessed within an architrave frame that has flanking consoles supporting a cornice above.
