Description

FREDERICK ROAD 1. 5104 Edgbaston B15 No 49 SP 0585 NE 40/25 II GV 2. C1840 detached 2 storey, 3 bay, red brick villa. Plinth and quoin pilasters in same place as shallow frieze, thus framing front. Hipped slate roof with flat eaves (brackets added 1952); flanking chimneys. Revealed glazing bar sashes with stucco sills on consoles and stucco heads flanked by consoles, those on the ground floor with thin cornices and pediment blocking courses. The architrave doorway with pediment, panelled reveals, door and patterned fanlight, all renewed 1952 by Harrison and Cox who also added the porthole windows either side.
