Description

Nos. 35 and 36, Lee Crescent are a pair of three-storey tunnel-back houses, built as part of an irregular terrace from Nos. 31 to 40. A date panel indicates the building was completed in 1830, possibly referring to the ownership by Wineyford Brown rather than the date of construction, as the pale red brickwork suggests a possible earlier 19th-century origin. The houses each have one window, with a blind centre, and feature cambered arches. They have flush-framed sash windows on the ground floor with later glazing, and modern casements above. A blind arch passage entrance is flanked by doorways, each with a doorcase of panelled, slightly pulvinated strips, topped with a shallow cornice hood.
