Description
The houses at 50 and 51 Lee Crescent, Edgbaston, date from around 1840 and form part of an irregular terrace encompassing numbers 50 to 58. They are a pair of modest red brick houses. Number 50 has a single bay facing the street, with an entrance in the gable end facing Mews Lane to the west. Number 51 has a two-bay front. The roofs are slate-covered with shallow, flat eaves, and brick chimney stacks are present. The windows are glazing bar sash windows with flat, rubbed gauged brick arches and stucco sills. Number 51 features a rubbed brick arched entrance containing an inner, fluted arched door surround, a three-panel door, and a plain fanlight. The gable end of number 50 has a similar entrance, but with a simpler architrave surround, a two-panel door, and a blind fanlight.
