Description
The bridge over the lake in Cannon Hill Park, dated 1875, is possibly a rebuild of an early 19th-century bridge made of red brick. It features pointed red brick arch buttresses that are capped with stone, leading to swept abutments. The bridge has stone-dressed pierced brick balustrades topped with stone copings. The spandrels are decorated with gauged brick framed roundels. The design includes simplified elements of Birmingham Gothic architecture.
