Description
The building is a barn with a cottage addition located at Park Farm, originally dating from the 16th to 17th century. It has been largely rebuilt and encased in brick, with the cottage added to the south gable end around 1800. The barn itself is two full storeys high and five bays long, featuring outshuts on both sides and two gabled portals in the middle of the east side. The outshuts and part of the barn are floored, and the west wall retains a wall post embedded in the brickwork. The trusses inside are of queen post form with heavy back purlins, while the southern truss against the brick gable has cruck principals that rise from the tie beam and a collar. The roof is tiled. The cottage at the south end is one storey with an attic and has a dilapidated gable end tiled roof. It features segmental arched casement windows and a doorway, along with a gabled half dormer.
