Description
The gates and four sets of gate piers to Handsworth Cemetery, located immediately southeast of the Lodge, were constructed around 1909, likely by W H Bidlake. They are made of iron and designed in an early 18th-century style. The structure features four sets of piers adorned with scroll work and finials, which flank both the carriageway and pedestrian gates. The supports are swept-up and scrolled, connecting quadrant railings to the outer standards. The quadrant railings have panelled standards that return along the road.
