Description
No. 75 Warwick Street is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1822 to 1826, with later additions and alterations, including a mid-20th century shop front on the ground floor. The building is constructed of brick with an unpainted stucco front facade and features a concealed roof with cast-iron balconies. It stands four storeys high and has two first-floor windows.
There is a first-floor band that is supported by a Tuscan pilaster on the left, extending through the first and second floors and topped with an architrave, frieze, and cornice. The first floor has 6/6 sash windows, while the second floor features 3/6 sash windows with sills. The third floor includes a 2/2 sash window and a 2/2 fixed-light window, all set in plain reveals. The building is finished with a cornice and blocking course.
On the ground floor, there are steps leading to a central entrance, which consists of a part-glazed door within a projecting glazed shop front. To the right, there is another entrance with a part-glazed door and overlight in plain reveals. The second-floor windows are adorned with ornate individual balconies. The interior has not been inspected.
Historically, Warwick Street was laid out between 1822 and 1826.
