ASHOW Main Street (west side) 21/17 - Grove View Cottage

GV II

Circa mid C19 neo-Tudor range of three tenements, now one dwelling. Mock timber-framing with painted render infill panels. Sandstone plinth. Steeply pitched plain tile roof with cross gabled ends and smaller central gable. One storey and attic. Casements with leaded lights with diamond-shaped panes, three-lights to ground and first floors of end gabled bays, two-lights to first floor central gable. Upper storey windows are triangular headed. To ground floor central loggia between end gabled bays, with two plank doors and two 2-light casements with leaded panes. Two brick chimney stacks, one at gable other at ridge with double shafts.
