Description
Grove View Cottage is a mid-19th century neo-Tudor building that originally comprised three tenements but is now a single dwelling. The exterior features mock timber-framing with painted render infill panels and a sandstone plinth. It has a steeply pitched plain tile roof with cross gabled ends and a smaller central gable. The cottage is one storey with an attic. The windows are casements with leaded lights, featuring diamond-shaped panes; the end gabled bays have three-light windows on both the ground and first floors, while the central gable has two-light windows on the first floor. The upper storey windows are triangular headed. The ground floor includes a central loggia situated between the end gabled bays, which has two plank doors and two two-light casements with leaded panes. There are two brick chimney stacks, one located at the gable and the other at the ridge, each with double shafts.
