Description

Grovewood is a cottage dating from around 1600, constructed with a timber frame and brick infill panels, featuring an 18th-century brick facade. The cottage has a steeply pitched plain tile roof with gabled ends and consists of one storey plus an attic. The central entrance is a plank door set under a segmental brick arch, flanked by two two-light casements with glazing bars, also under segmental brick arches. At the eaves level, there are two gabled dormers, one of which is blocked, while the other has a two-light casement with glazing bars. A central brick ridge chimney stack completes the structure.
