Description
The early 19th-century iron footbridge, located approximately 320 metres south-west of Stoneleigh Abbey, is likely designed by Humphry Repton and is part of the designed landscape of the Abbey. The bridge features cast iron and ashlar construction with two spans, each supported by a pair of fish-bellied girders, a chamfered central pier, and splayed abutments. The balustrade is in a Classical style, characterized by closely spaced hollow balusters, although the handrail is missing.
