Description

This is a range of six simple properties, likely dating from the late 18th century, located on the west side of Mill Street. They are arranged as a continuous block, each property being one window wide. The buildings are constructed of red brick, with a stone plinth at ground level and a corbelled detail at the eaves. The windows are segmental-headed, and originally had metal casements, described as “cottage type”. Dormers are visible in the roof, with No. 20 having a flush gable, while the others feature gabled dormers. The roofs are covered in old tiles. The windows of No. 24 have been altered to modern casements, and the front door is also a modern replacement. No. 20 and No. 22 retain their original four-panel doors. The listed buildings in Mill Street, on both sides of the street, form a group of group value.
