Description
Underedge is a house that was formerly two separate homes, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The building is constructed from coursed ironstone with an ashlar front and features a splayed cornice. It has a slate roof and stone end stacks with brick shafts. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. There are two central doorways; the left doorway has a six-panelled door, while the right doorway is partially blocked with a window that has been inserted. The windows are late 20th century casements with glazing bars. Above the windows, there are lintels made of darker stone with keystones, which run continuously on both the ground and second floors.
