Description
The Plough Public House is a public house that likely has origins in the 17th century, with later raising and alterations from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared ironstone rubble and features a slate roof with brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a two-window range. The central entrance is a recessed part-glazed door from the 20th century. The ground floor has old three-light casements with glazing bars, while the first floor features late 19th-century casements with horizontal glazing bars. Inside, there is a stepped stop-chamfered ceiling beam and an open fireplace. The building is included for its group value.
